What to Expect at Belterra Park Entertainment Center

This May, Cincinnati will see the opening of the new Belterra Park Racino, a casino, racetrack and entertainment center at the location of the former River Downs Racetrack. According to the official Belterra Park website, they changed the property’s name because “a brand new entertainment facility deserves a new name and image,” and “the name signals to guests that they will enjoy the same magical and memorable experiences they do at Belterra Casino Resort.” So just what will Belterra Park offer?

New Gaming Excitement

The new facility will feature 48,000 square-feet of entertainment in the form of 1,500 video lottery terminals, 6 food and beverage outlets, OTB Racebook River Downs Club and the Pinnacle Entertainment’s “mychoice” player loyalty program.

In honor to the rich history of River Downs, a special room will be dedicated to the storied track. The OTB Racebook River Downs Club will feature original racetrack memorabilia like jockey silks from Cradle Stakes races.

As far as the design, two of the original cupolas from the grandstand will be incorporated into the infield tote board and one will be featured at the Winner’s Circle. Terracotta horsehead statues from the original River Downs grandstand will be displayed on the lower level of the Belterra Park Grandstand.

The historic turf track will remain, making it the only turf track in Ohio.

Dining

The Belterra Park Entertainment Center will feature a steakhouse that also offers classic Italian cuisine, a dynamic buffet, and Pinnacle Entertainment’s Stadium Sports Bar & Grill.

Thoroughbred Racing
