No matter what your reasoning may be for heading out into Cincinnati for the evening, we’ve got you covered. Here are our picks for the best places to indulge yourself on your next special night out on the town.
Abigail Street
1214 Vine St
Do you love wine and Mediterranean food? That may actually be a stupid question because who doesn’t like wine and Mediterranean food?!
Abigail Street is a Mediterranean Wine Bar in the OTR neighborhood of downtown Cincinnati. They specialize in seasonal foods that are meant to be shared as well as having one of the best selections of wine on tap the city has to offer. If you find one you like, they’re more than happy to send some home with you in a recycled bottle.
Arnold’s
210 E 8th St
Recently named by Buzzfeed as one of the oldest and coolest bars in the world, Arnold’s is a bar and grill that simply must be seen.
Although they only started serving food during the Prohibition, this historic venue has been around since 1861. In addition to an amazing menu, reasonably priced drinks, and warm cozy atmosphere, you will also find a live music scene that’s hard to beat.
Metropole
609 Walnut St
This restaurant has taken the old world method of fireplace cooking and added a modern twist.
At Metropole you will find some of the freshest meats and veggies from the region’s farmers that are cooked in their custom build wood burning fireplace. It’s located in the new 21c Museum Hotel and offers a bar and lounge with craft beers on tap, vintage wines, and incredible housemade cocktails. The décor alone would be enough to draw you in and the menu does its job in keeping you there!
Eli’s BBQ
3313 Riverside Dr
Not all the restaurants on our list are filled with haute cuisine. However, we couldn’t have a complete list of amazing Cincinnati restaurants without Eli’s BBQ. Here you will find some of the most delicious pulled pork sandwiches, brisket, and even turkey breast to fill your home cooking desires! Be sure to try their unbeatable macaroni and cheese and jalapeno cheddar grits as a side. You won’t be disappointed when you find out their pulled pork is a masterpiece that takes more than 20 hours to perfect.
The Bar at Palm Court
35 W 5th St
We’re going to round out our list with one of the best bars in Cincinnati. After you’ve whetted your appetite at one of the fantastic restaurants we’ve mentioned above, head over to the Art Deco perfection that is the Bar at Palm Court. You may feel as though you’re stepping into the movie set of The Great Gatsby with the stunning 20s décor. Hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to stop in during one of their live jazz music nights which would be a perfect nightcap to your special evening out on the town.
Now that you know where to go for your night out in Cincinnati, let us provide one last suggestion: chauffeured car service. You can make an incredible first impression by picking up your date in a chauffeured limousine or SUV. Alternatively, you can give that special someone you’ve been with for decades the VIP night they deserve after all these years. A Cincinnati car service like Savannah Nite can really add a special touch to your special night out.
