You can always take the younger kids to the park for some outdoor fun, but there’s nothing wrong with wanting something MORE. Lucky for you, Cincinnati is absolutely brimming with fun activities, events, and festivals that are sure to provide fun for all ages this spring.

We’ve narrowed it down to four amazing spring events around Cincinnati that you should strongly consider adding to your social calendar.

4th Annual Cincinnati Library Comic Con Series
Now Until May 21st   
The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County

Are you a fan of comic books hoping to instill the same love in your kids? The Cincinnati Library Comic Con is the perfect way to introduce the younger generation to all things comic books, graphic novels, and more. There are so many different events and activities going on this year that you’ll have your fill of things to do. Although the main event isn’t until May 21st, there are pre-events that cater to all ages. From drawing and costume contests to jewelry making, your entire family will have a blast. You can even make the Incredible Hulk with a 3D printer, participate in trivia games with the chance to win prizes, and so much more. Your event calendar will be filled with fun activities that will make you feel like a kid all over again!

Zoo Blooms
April 1st to April 30th              
Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden

Springtime is a fantastic time to head to the Cincinnati Zoo, especially during the month of April while they celebrate Zoo Blooms. Not only will the kids love seeing all the animals but there will be an absolute explosion of color thanks to more than one million flowers, trees, and shrubs that are in bloom. You and the whole family could spend an entire day here without ever once feeling bored!

Every Thursday in April
Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden

If you’re planning to attend the Zoo Blooms events this April, you may want to consider doing so on a Thursday. After you’ve meandered through the zoo and taken in all the beautiful colors, you can enjoy a concert by one of Cincinnati’s local bands. Admission to Tunes & Blooms is free after 5pm and gives you the opportunity to hear some live music by Honey & Houston (4/7), Speed & The Freddies (4/14), The Cliftones (4/21), and Young Heirlooms (4/28) among others! While they don’t permit outside alcohol, you can purchase a cold beer to enjoy while you listen.

Monster Jam
April 8th and 9th
U.S. Bank Arena

Who doesn’t love a good Monster Truck rally? The noise and excitement are enough to bring the kid out of anyone! Come out and see legendary machines like Grave Digger, Zombie, and more as they compete in races and jumps that are sure to get your adrenaline pumping. While they will be putting on a show on both the 8th and 9th of April, you may want to come on the 9th for a chance to participate in the Party in the Pits, meet the drivers, and take pictures with the trucks from 11:30am to 1pm. This is an event you don’t want to miss!
