One of our absolute most favorite brewery tours in the Queen City is the Prohibition Resistance: The Lager Tour, which is held every Saturday and Sunday from May to September in the heart of Cincinnati’s Brewery District. Guests of this brewery tour will begin and end their walk at the Over-the-Rhine Biergarten, and they’ll experience some of the Queen City’s richest beer brewing history, including pre-Prohibition landmarks. Participants will also get to see some of the largest mass lagering cellars in the city before their tour ends.

If you’re looking for a truly unique beer-drinking experience, we also highly suggest the Hudepol 14K Brewery Run, which carries participants on a through downtown Cincinnati for either a 7K or 14K run/walk. The Hudepol also offers one of the best after-run parties in the country, with food, fun and beer for all. The event is held on both Thursday, September 20 and Friday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Space Fest

We couldn’t very well go and forget about the kids, now could we? If you’re looking for unmissable family-friendly events in the Cincinnati area, there are a few to add to your list. One of our favorites is the National Museum of the United States Air Force’s Space Fest, held on Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Space Fest is a great opportunity for parents to get their kids involved in hands-on learning experiences that are fun and educational. Presentations by real astronauts. Space-shuttle simulator rides. Demonstrations by members of different space crews. No matter where you turn, there is something interesting to do throughout the day. Another plus for parents is that admission to most activities is free, so you won’t have to worry about breaking the bank at this Cincinnati event.

Cincinnati Library Comic Con

Cincinnati Library will be hosting its own Comic Con on May 5, and any good fan of graphic novels, comics, writers, and illustrators knows just how awesome these events can be. The Library will be hosting a variety of authors, illustrators, graphic designers, and personalities at the Comic Con, including Tony Moore and David Michael Black. There is also a variety of drawing contests leading up to the convention, so interested participants can get their chance to shine. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Library on Vine Street in downtown Cincinnati.
