Staycation at a Cincinnati Bed and Breakfast

“Get Away” at A Cincy B&B

Cincinnati bed and breakfastDoes the thought of going in to work make you groan every time your alarm goes off? Are you tired of spending every weekend at the bar that’s five minutes away from your home? If so, it may be time for a refreshing “staycation.” Staycations are a great way to replenish yourself and get away without the cost of actually getting away. Try hiring a car service to take you to one of these beds and breakfasts, and see if you don’t feel better when you return to your usual routine.

The Clifton House

Here guests can treat themselves to a complimentary cup of tea or glass of wine; and the B&B isn’t far from great restaurants, shops, and the city’s oldest movie theater. Breakfast is cooked up by Chef Brian Potter, a graduate of the Midwest Culinary Institute and an eight-time winner of the American Culinary Federation medals. Guests consistently praise innkeeper Nancy Niehaus for her friendly and accommodating nature. But don’t just take our word for it; make a reservation and see for yourself.

Monday through Thursday, there’s a complimentary breakfast, but the weekend is when you want to be there—sleepy guests can wake up to a gourmet breakfast. You can complement your delicious morning meal with a dinner at the on-site gourmet restaurant. It emphasizes local and seasonal ingredients, so the food is guaranteed to be fresh.

Gaslight Bed and Breakfast

The original home that this business occupies had an “in-law” entrance on the second floor. When the building was remodeled, this additional entrance was kept so that guests could feel free to come and go as they pleased. In addition to this luxury, Gaslight also offers rooms with 310 thread count sheets made from Egyptian cotton and a complimentary snack basket. The stone fencing at the front of the building gives this business a quaint look, and at nighttime, the lights add a soft charm to Gaslight’s façade.

Just one mile north of the downtown area, The Parker House is a great place where you can get away but also be close to all the action of the city. Guests can look forward to fresh pancakes, waffles, or fruit platters, and the staff is also open to suggestions for breakfast time.
