The Best Concerts Coming to Cincinnati in August
Looking for a fun idea for a birthday or anniversary present? Are you a big fan of live music? Whether you have a special occasion coming up that you want to celebrate or if you simply want to head out for a night on the town, taking in a live concert is one of the best ways to spend your evening. We are right in the middle of concert season. So many big names tour around the country during the summer and this year is no different. If you live in the Cincinnati area, there are some excellent tours headed your way in the month of August. It’s time to get your tickets now.
Head to the Riverbend Music Center
One of the hottest concert spots in the Cincinnati area is the Riverbend Music Center. It has been a must stop destination for some of the biggest touring groups ever since it opened. The month of August 2014 is booked with appearances from some of the most popular bands in America. Concert goers from many generations will be excited about the line up at Riverbend this year. The younger generation will be happy to see that popular alternative rock group Kings of Leon is making an appearance on August 22nd. Rappers Drake and Lil’ Wayne will also be stopping in Cincinnati on August 15th. Music fans who are a little bit older might be interested in getting tickets for Chicago and REO Speedwagon on August 13th.
Near the Riverbend Music Center is the PNC Pavilion, another major draw for some big time musical acts. This August, popular alternative band Panic! At the Disco will be playing on August 12th. They made their mark on the music industry in 2005 with the hit single “I Write Sins Not Tragedies.” Following Panic! At the Disco at the PNC Pavilion is artist David Gray, making an appearance on August 16th.
The Riverbend Music Center and PNC Pavilion are located around some excellent restaurants. When you purchase some concert tickets, you might consider making some plans to enjoy a delicious meal as well, especially if you are planning a celebration. You can grab some pizza at Pepperoncini’s Pizza, Mio’s Pizza, or Fort Thomas Pizza and Tavern. If you enjoy Mexican food head over to Anita’s Mexican Bar and Grill, Mi Casa, or Texas Joe for a more Southwestern flare.
Soak Up the Sun at an Outdoor Venue
The Riverbend Music Center is not the only place you’ll be able to find awesome musical entertainment in Cincinnati this summer. You can find live music all over the city, sometimes outdoors. Take advantage of the warm summer weather while you can and see which concerts will be playing at Cincinnati’s popular outdoor venues. Jazz fans might want to head over to Washington Park for Crown Jewels of Jazz playing on August 6th, 20th, and 27th.
Purchasing concert tickets for the music fan in your life is the perfect gift. It’s not only a gift that will be a joy to open, but it is also a gift that will create memories. Make your concert celebration a night to remember. Find a restaurant nearby to share a delicious meal and drinks before the show begins. Another fantastic idea to make your concert experience as fun and memorable as possible is to hire a limo service to transport you to the event. A limo adds a touch of fun and glamour that will dress up your celebration in a memorable way. Hiring a driver will also allow you and your loved ones to go out on the town to celebrate without having to worry about getting home safely. You can rest assured that your driver will be a safe and sober ride home at the end of the evening.
