Exclusive Details About the 2013 Bunbury Music Festival

This weekend, the Bunbury Music Festival returns to celebrate its second year at Sawyer’s Point and Yeaman’s Cove for 3 power-packed days of music, July 12 – 14. The name of the event comes from Oscar Wilde’s play, “The Importance of Being Earnest” and means “to have a made-up excuse to get out of doing something boring.” So if you’re looking for a summer event in Cincinnati that’s anything but boring, the Bunbury Music Festival is the place to be.

More than 80 live performances will take place on six stages stretching over a mile along the banks of the Ohio River. The scenic tree-lined park will transform into a musical wonderland experience.

“Bunbury has taken great pride in creating a truly unique fan-friendly atmosphere, complete with amazing sounds and sights taking every detail into account,” said festival organizer Bill Donabedian, former managing director of Fountain Square and co-founder of the MidPoint Music Festival.

“We want our fans to take our event personally and we make all of the event arrangements from their point of view. Yes, the lineup has to be a priority, but it’s making the entire experience a priority that can help set you apart. Whether it be our in-and-out privileges or our free amenities, it all adds up to make the consumer experience the best that it can be.”

Donabedian’s experience with the PNC Summer Music Series and MidPoint Music Festival have naturally evolved into his creation of the Bunbury Music Festival.

Kids 10 and below are free at the Bunbury Music Festival. For everyone else, tickets are priced $55 for a 1-day pass and $110 for a 3-day pass. You can by them by clicking here.
